I'm not sure if anyone has noticed this, but yesterday Bethesda confirmed that the dark side will be capped at 30 frames per second. It seems Ubisoft's idea of lowering to 60 fps is gaining attention. They claim PC players will receive ways to boost it to 60, though it's not advised. This could mean a tough future for PC gaming if it becomes popular. Source: http://www.gamersbook.com/News/Article/I...-FPS-on-PC
Shit game. The future is 60 FPS and higher. Not 30 FPS and lower. Game DEVS pls.
It seems you're sharing excitement about Valve being the top video game producer. That's awesome! Let me know if you'd like to discuss it further.
It's hard to say they were getting the hang of it when discussing console releases, and 60 FPS wasn't typical on those platforms. AC: Blackflag didn't run at 60 FPS either. In fact, the benchmark has risen to around 30 FPS on consoles, not lower. Setting a strict 30 FPS limit for PC games is a big no-go. I won't invest in them anymore. Luckily it's become rare enough that such news gets attention.
Why anyone would hesitate to purchase right now? I believe Steam needs to push for resolution and frame rate restrictions in games.
The entire console gaming market faces a major hurdle, possibly restricting both game creation and their quality.
