Upgraded components and reasons for change have been added.
Current system details are provided.
I’m considering improvements and would appreciate your advice on which parts to replace.
My usage focuses on gaming titles such as COD MW3, Eve Online, and StarCitizen, plus VR with the Vive Pro.

What power supply, cooler, and case do you have? You might consider the 5800X3D with Deepcool ak620 if your current cooler isn't enough. Alternatively, the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120SE could work if your case fits. Your current RAM appears to be around 2133 (1066*2), but it might be because XMP isn't enabled in the BIOS. If your RAM lacks an XMP profile for around 2933 MHz or similar, upgrading to a compatible kit could significantly boost performance, even with your existing CPU. Check the Cpuz in the SPD tab for memory details. A speed of 3000~3200MHz XMP is ideal for Ryzen processors if you replace the RAM, such as with Gskill 3200 CL 16. Just verify Cpuz settings and enable XMP in the BIOS if possible.

I'm not sure about the model or manufacturer of the case, but I'm using a Rosewill Photon 750 Full Modular. I just got my new Aresgame Black Cube 1000W Gold Modular power supply. It's a big vertical heatsink with a fan, but I'm still figuring things out. Please share a picture of the case and cooler if you can.

I checked the CPUZ SPD page, and it lists XMP 2.0 as supported. I plan to change the XMP profile to 1 and check if it affects performance.

Hmm this is a bit of a mess. Different ram modules isn't helping things with XMP, i doubt you'll get it working. There's a 3600 stick mixed with 3000. Need to sort out your ram and just keep to two identical modules.
Now your new psu, return it asap as it is Tier F. Your older Tier B psu is better.
PSU Tier List rev. 17.0g - Cultists Network
PSU Tier List will help you to choose the best PSU out of hundreds of models on the market. From budget to the highest end Power Supplies.

If you want to buy a new psu done right, consult the list. Corsair Rmx series is solid. 850w is enough. 10yr warranty. Don't buy anything with less than 7yrs from a trusted brand from Tier A or B.

I haven't located a B550 board compatible with Summit Ridge on the manufacturer's site.

It might have been the initial release of a 5xx board where bios updates didn't fully remove support for the first-gen Ryzen. Perhaps only Athlon processors were impacted due to limited bios space, or it could simply be a marketing strategy to suggest older technology.

I purchased an early X570 board prior to 550's, which only supports Ryzen 3xxx and 5xxx CPUs, except for one older model the R7 PRO 2700X

Their tests indicate a 550, which makes it hard to figure out what to do. You're likely right, though a bit of copying from other places might be an option.
