You began participating recently. Last year you played ten matches to earn a spot. Your record was 7 wins, 3 losses, earning you a Silver 3 rank.

It's an ELO system, and everything is functioning properly. Your current rank hasn't vanished; it remains a benchmark for the system. You performed better than during your silver period, which earned you a higher rank.

I believe it comes from DM... so if you can take many lives but lack solid strategies, you’ll stay in Gold... just like me!

Titan Fall's pattern keeps repeating. Maintain a steady 30 AI kills to stay in the top tier. Hit enemies to earn small rewards or risk losing rank points. Consistently complete tasks to unlock bonuses like a 10% boost or full rank points. Avoid pauses longer than 10 seconds without clearing a large number of enemies, or you'll quickly lose most of your current rank standing and fall behind the next level.

Perhaps your score was strong overall since wins and losses aren't the main focus. I find it hard to believe Valve hasn't shared a clear explanation of their ranking system. Most games I know use an XP or point-based approach. That seems simple enough. But not for Valve—they probably rely on mysterious magic and secret techniques to keep things hidden.

I was Silver in the 4th place after purchasing the game and playing a few matches. It's been a while, so I don't recall the types of players who compete. Gold Nova isn't that difficult, and I successfully reached GN4 by myself. Then MG2 became easier with pre-made groups of 3 to 5 players. I'm planning to take a break for two months, which would be great if I weren't ranked.

They might fear that revealing how the ranking system functions could lead to misuse. After all, if this happens, the purpose of the system might be undermined.

We need clarity on when we're increasing or decreasing rankings. That’s logical. Stop wasting time with this nonsense—I’m moving on.

It's caused by the recent bans on hackers. I had trouble keeping up with SMFC before the wave. Now I'm moving to Global. My friends who used to play DMGs are now ranking among LEM/SMFC. Still, I haven't played MM much since we formed a team for S19-Open—currently 8 wins and 1 loss, sitting in the Top 10 in the West.
