The CPU stopped working along with my cooler.

I was adjusting my cooler and gently rotating it left and right, realizing this could eventually happen. Then I started pulling straight up and was surprised to find my CPU was connected to the cooler. I managed to separate them, no pin was bent. I put it back in and kept swapping the cooler. How bad is this? Is my PC booting or am I likely dead? Of course, it’s an AM4 socket—no heavy force was used. Hell yeah, I hope it’s okay...

Discover the results when you try it. The remaining check is just to observe it; you've already reviewed the previous one. For the future, if you can, I usually start removing AM4 coolers by letting the PC warm up for a short time before applying the paste.

It looked like everything was working properly and I didn’t notice anything unusual in the socket. I just pulled it out straight away, really hoping it’s okay. We’ll check again and let you know what we found.

AMD made improvements to their socket design for the 7000 series Ryzen chips. The AM4 CPU pins feel sturdy, though the absence of a strong retention system is a bit disappointing.

Absolutely, it was definitely there. I combined the CPU and cooler, had to move them carefully so I didn’t touch the pins. It was a tight situation.

It's finally done. This was my first experience with an AIO; the CPU is functioning properly, but the pump seems to have issues. Temperatures are normal, though I’ll check for potential problems like a loose cable.
