I'm feeling quite overwhelmed. My original setup includes: CPU: 7900X, GPU: 3080 MB, Asus X670-E TUF Power, Corsair 1000e RAM, 16*2 Trident Z5 Neo RGB, DDR5-6000. For roughly a year, I've experienced startup problems and networking instability. Even when it would start, connectivity issues persisted—either missing drivers or non-functional networking. Drivers always failed during reinstalls, and I couldn't pinpoint the exact problem. The PSU worked fine, but testing with a spare 750W EVGA kept failing. I tried connecting it to the motherboard via the PSU, hoping to avoid rewiring, yet everything remained unresponsive. Lights on fans would flicker but wouldn’t boot. After swapping cables and using only the EVGA for the board, I still couldn’t get a start. I reinserted the CPU, checked CMOS settings, and considered replacing it, but the uncertainty remains. Between two PSUs, 2 MB RAM, one CPU, and one GPU, I’m struggling to figure out what’s wrong. Could the CPU be faulty? I remember initial issues from a year ago, which improved after BIOS updates. I thought clearing CMOS helped too. I’d rather avoid replacing the CPU if possible. The extra memory was affordable enough to keep as backup, but I don’t feel the need for another one right now.

while all else is covered on the Corsair PS, what else should we consider? Have you been at stock configurations? I think none of your components were defective. Did you run a RAM checker such as Memtest86? Have you attempted to reinstall Windows using the original motherboard? Edited January 20, 2024 by leclod

GPU, Lian li fans, AIO. Stock on CPU; RAM was at EXPO. Think I ran Memtest. Didn’t reinstall Windows. Assumed it might be a hardware problem given the boot issues and incomplete startup. Will test the old setup tomorrow.

The only aspect that looks a bit odd to me is using a GPU powered by two PSUs. Did you test it without the GPU? Edited January 20, 2024 by leclod

I didn't divide power between the two PSUs for the GPU. I performed some mining with GPUs on separate PSUs, which is a solid way to troubleshoot first before making more changes.

Connected the second power supply to the GPU while it was already linked to the first via the PCIe port. The GPU runs on two PSUs. Edited January 21, 2024 by leclod

I realized the issue wasn't the PCIe slot. After some adjustments, I installed the B650 inside the case with only RAM and CPU. It didn’t boot at all—just a brief RGB flash. The B650 seems faulty. I moved everything back into the X670E, which worked fine before EXPO. Then I lowered the RAM from 6000 to 5800 and it started booting properly. Still facing networking problems; I plan to reinstall Windows and back up everything to check if that fixes the issue.
