I'm working on boosting my Ryzen 5 1600 AF in an MSI b450-A Pro Max. It's functioning well so far. I've adjusted the BIOS settings—frequency around 3.9 MHz and core voltage up to 1.3 (possibly 1.35). Booting was smooth, but AIDA64 still shows a stock boost clock near 3.6. HWmonitor records a maximum voltage of about 1.2 even when set to 1.3 in BIOS. I'm unsure why it doesn't reach the 3.9 I configured. It might have reset back to default, or maybe I didn't save changes. According to HWmonitor, the CPU did briefly hit 3.9 once, as it logs the maximum speed. EDIT: I re-entered BIOS and set the speed to auto, saved, and exited. Now it's running at around 4 GHz. I'm planning a stability test—if it holds, I'll try increasing it further.
