Hello, welcome! I understand you're curious about your system's performance. Your concern about increased CPU heat despite better airflow is valid. It could be due to factors like dried thermal paste or insufficient cooling capacity from the fans. Let me know if you'd like more details!

It isn't due to excessive airflow. Are you sure both rooms have the same temperature?

since the room keeps moving air around, the computer acts like a small heater.

It's going to be very warm today. I'd suggest lowering it to 4.9 or 4.8.

Usually summer brings this happens. Winter overclocking gets put aside unless you use AC or move a ton of air and have a great cooler. 5GHz is still solid. It’s simpler now to hit those timers, but I’ve been trying to capture a screenshot of 5GHz since 2008, man. Almost there...

I own a 9600k at 5.2 and it rarely goes above 75°F. It's an NH-U12S, so it doesn't have a very powerful cooler (just a central AC unit).

Ensure proper airflow by verifying there are no obstructions, such as a compressor, removing the CPU fan, and cleaning the heatsink.
