Hello, yesterday I purchased a Ryzen 5 5600 and installed it. Most things are working properly, except the CPU fan which makes unusual noises. I’m having trouble capturing them clearly, not because they’re loud, but because this strange sound is really bothersome. When the fan spins faster, the noise fades and comes back when it slows down. It sounds like a robotic whirring or a mechanical click. I’ve checked for any cables or nearby objects, but didn’t find anything. Could you offer some advice? Maybe there’s a solution other than returning the product?

Everything seems perfectly fastened. Observations show resonance occurring at specific frequencies because of vibrations.

All the cooler to the backplate bolts are secure, though I’m not sure about anything else—maybe it just sounds like resonance.

It might also relate to the quality of the AMD fans—your unit doesn’t spin smoothly on its axis, causing a buzzing sound. If adjusting or reinstalling doesn’t fix it, consider purchasing a basic aftermarket cooler for cheaper performance and quieter operation.

I came from Google with the same question. It's a surprise! I have the same fan you do. My 3900x model makes a strange, annoying noise—almost like the fan is failing at low speeds. That’s not good. A better cooling experience would be nice. I liked it when it was new, saved some money on the build last year, but this sound is really bothersome.
