No programs needed. Hardware monitor isn't displaying fan speeds. Recent BIOS update (MSI game mode) required re-enabling AMD cool n' quiet, suggesting a potential default setting issue.

It seems you connected the fan to the incorrect port. On certain motherboards, only the CPU fan has fan control options.
