Hi guys,
I’m really struggling right now. I switched from a H100i to a Kraken Elite, but something went wrong during the process. When I power it on, the VRAM lights up orange, then the CPU light turns static red. I’ve heard sometimes the motherboard doesn’t recognize the CPU, especially since I used it before. Could this be possible?

I’ve double-checked all power and connection cables, removed the CMOS battery for 30 seconds, tightened the cooler, inspected the CPU for bent pins, tried with a single stick and two RAM sticks (I use four), and confirmed the case fans are connected to the cooler.

My computer won’t boot, and I can’t access the BIOS or display either.
Here are my specs:
- Motherboard: TUF b550 plus
- CPU: 3900x
- Cooler: Kraken Elite 360
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 4000 4x8GB
- GPU: Gigabyte 3080 Ti
- PSU: Corsair RM1000
- SSD: 1TB Crucial P3
- Case fans: about 7

If you need any more details, just let me know and I’ll do my best to help. Thanks for your support!

Examine the rear of the motherboard, verify if the correct back plate and screws are present.

The backplate is designed for one-way use, which is why I'm relying on the screws included with the AIO.
