Hello, I'm experiencing an issue where I can't raise the CPU multiplier beyond 39 in the BIOS. I attempted an update, but it didn't work. My system details are: CPU model I5 6600k, motherboard Asus H-170m Plus.

It seems overclocking was turned off on your motherboard from version 1. To enable it, you'll need a different motherboard.

You can't push the performance beyond what the H-170 board supports. Sorry.

Yes, you can increase the clock speed with a H170 board, though it doesn't match the performance of a Z170 board. It seems your company's software has turned off overclocking. To try it, use an older BIOS version.

You can try overclocking with a H170 board, but it won't perform as well as with a Z170. It seems your company has turned off overclocking by default. If you're aiming to overclock, using an older BIOS version might help. Which BIOS version would you like me to suggest?
