Windows 7 will stop receiving major updates on January 13th and moves into its extended support stage. I’m curious about whether the cost of Windows 7 will drop after that date. They remove every retail version from the shelves. Yet for gadgets running Windows by default, purchases keep going as long as stock remains... (I might still manage to buy a brand new Windows Vista machine.)
MS halted the sale of most Windows 7 licenses on October 31st. OEM versions of Windows 7 Professional remain in stock, though they are priced higher than Home Premium. I believe the cost won<|pad|> can be reduced. You might find Windows 8.1 more affordable.
