It seems they’re still refining their system, and I recall him bringing up concerns about mutinous pirates or pirate crews joining your team. There might have been a test run at Gamescom using multi-crew ships, but I haven’t reviewed the footage myself yet. The pledge ships are priced lower than their eventual in-game cost, though we don’t know the full impact yet. What I’ve seen is that an Aurora could theoretically cost around 75K UEC, which would be roughly $75 USD—far less than the current $35–45 USD price, including game fees, beta costs, insurance, and spending credits.
