The connection isn't functioning properly.
My Ethernet link isn’t functioning. I’ve tested other setups successfully, but mine isn’t connecting. It displays “Unidentified network” and shows no internet activity. Checking traffic stats reveals 329 sent and 0 received—doesn’t clarify anything. The machine was new about two weeks ago and has never had issues before. I’ve run various commands, restarted the PC, switched devices, and changed network settings. Specs: Ryzen 7 3700X, ASUS X570-i Tridentz 3200MHz RAM, 32GB GDDR6, GTX 2080 WindForce, NVMe SSD SN750, 500GB NVMe, EVGA SuperNOVA GM650, NZXT H210i. Thanks in advance.
Have you attempted to start another operating system? Maybe Linux? The previous time I faced NIC issues it turned out to be my PSU (there were other occasional problems). Assuming you haven’t adjusted any settings and it suddenly booted up one day, it might indicate a hardware failure. If you’ve checked the cable and port on your switch/router are functioning properly, we should focus our attention on the motherboard port.
