Over the past two years, I’ve owned my computer and upgraded it by replacing my graphics card with a 1050Ti and adding an SSD. The system functioned flawlessly until the end of 2018. Suddenly, there was a significant decrease in overall performance. Specifically, numerous games began experiencing lag and stuttering, even in titles like League of Legends. I previously achieved consistent 60 frames per second in Rainbow Six Siege, but after a period of inactivity around December, the game became riddled with lagging, stuttering, and screen tearing. I suspect my monitor might be the source of this issue; I transitioned from a 1440x900 display to one measuring 1620x1050. However, I believe my graphics card is sufficiently powerful for this resolution. The CPU may also be contributing significantly to the perceived lag—for instance, increasing CPU-intensive settings in some games improves performance slightly. Additionally, I’ve observed that my FX8320e has begun running at 3.5 GHz instead of its usual 3.2 GHz – this occurred without any manual overclocking adjustments. Can anyone offer assistance?

Certainly, if your display boasts a greater resolution, you’ll observe increased detail on the screen. This necessitates more effort from your graphics processing unit. Your FX8320 is functioning adequately; I wouldn't modify it, though it is somewhat dated…

I genuinely don’t believe it’s functioning correctly because I experience minor freezes each time demanding physics occur within the game—specifically during events like explosions, simulated body movements, and wall breaches. It seems unlikely that my graphics card is to blame given that I've set all graphical options to their minimum levels and these issues persist. Furthermore, I have tested the games on a lower-resolution display and the same problems continue to arise.
