The issue is that it only runs for 1-2 hours before resetting back to the time I set it, similar to how it would reset to the current time if adjusted now. The date also becomes incorrect. Changing it in the BIOS didn’t solve the problem.

CMOS battery swap typically resolves issues like this. It's quite straightforward. My computer is three months old, and I've handled it before—just removing the battery.

You can check the voltage, but make sure it matches the specifications for that particular device.

Check the old battery for the model number on its back. That will tell you which one to use. Bring it to a nearby electronics store to ensure you get the correct part.

Ensure your gigabyte MMO has the Auto Adjust time clock disabled in its settings. Look for alternative time synchronization options in other programs.

Disconnect the machine from the internet and observe if the problem continues. Check the CMOS battery; if it doesn’t reset when power is restored, it likely isn’t the cause. For replacement, a CR2032 battery is typically sufficient.

Adjust the clock on your computer. Unless you disconnect the device, this might not be due to power loss. The issue could also stem from the BIOS settings.
