After freezing, the system may restart, trigger a BSOD, or attempt to recover. Check for any messages in the Event Viewer and consider running a memory test.

Once it freezes, it returns to normal, and you can still catch the audio from when it started freezing—like a YouTube video. For a memory test, you can run MemTest on your system.

I just joined this forum to share something similar. It began two days ago. No BSOD, no restarts, no crashes. What I've tried: Ran Clean OS install RAM test (Memtest86 passed), checked system files, reviewed event log—nothing linked to freezes. Removed RAM sticks (working with one helped a bit but didn't fix it). Ran NVMe check, BIOS update, performed BIOS reset, unplugged unnecessary USB devices (though I was unsure). Reinstalled GPU drivers. Verified NVMe boot drive is in. Checked SATA connectors. Praying Crying—did any of these help? No. What else can I do?: If I'm fast and close explorer.exe before it freezes after boot, I can use the PC slightly but still experience occasional freezes. Move the mouse cursor (sometimes I can't). What I can't do: Open Task Manager, close it if it was open before freezing. Basically, anything. Hardware: Ryzen 5700x, Asus Prime B350 Plus, 32GB DDR4, 3000MT/s Corsair RTX 3070, 650W gold PSU, Corsair AIO Hyperx NVMe 2TB, two SATA SSDs. My last thought is it might be a slowly failing motherboard (bought late 2017). But if I waste money on a new one and it doesn't fix anything, I'll be really upset. Please?

There is a non-zero chance that your GT 1030 is really struggling with hardware acceleration on, or with playback at whatever resolution and framerate you're running it at. The computer not crashing or anything makes me think it's just hitching as the GPU gets a little overloaded. I would try narrowing down what causes the freezing by toggling hardware acceleration on whatever web browser you use, and playing videos at higher and lower resolutions to see if there is an increase in occurrences of freezing. Other than that, it could also be an issue with dust causing something to overheat, or some weird software/hardware issue I'm not familiar with. A RAM issue as Skippie suggested could be possible if it's causing the CPU to need to go back to the hard drive for whatever reason and pause system tasks while it waits on the hard drive to present data.
