Hello, thank you for your prompt assistance.
I’m just starting out with PC building and have a friend who owns a gaming rig that really impressed me. That motivated me to dive into research and finally assemble my own system.
When I first powered it up, everything functioned perfectly, I set up Windows 10 Pro 64 bit and installed all the necessary drivers.
Next came adding games, so I started with Steam and Origin.
Currently I own:
Origin:
Apex
Battlefield V
FIFA 20
Anthem
Steam:
DCS World
Resident Evil 2
Project Cars 2
Counter Strike
The challenge I’m facing is that among these titles, only a few are experiencing the same problem.
Specifically, Battlefield V, Counter Strike, Apex and DCS World tend to shut down after about 2-3 minutes of play, then restart.
I’ve conducted extensive research before posting here, yet I haven’t found a solution.
I ran stress tests like Aida64 for 8 hours without errors, Memtest 64 also showed no issues, and Furmark on the GPU for roughly an hour without any faults.
Originally I overclocked my CPU from stock 4.2 to 4.8 but returned it to default settings.
I also performed a 3DMark benchmark and achieved a score of 10937 on Time Spy:
Graphics Test 1: 91.91 FPS
Graphics Test 2: 84.61 FPS
CPU Test: 15.47 FPS
I’m running out of ideas. My only guess is that my power supply might be insufficient, though I checked the CPU wattage calculator and it seems around 100W.
Here are my current specifications:
▪Asus Prime Z270-A Motherboard
▪CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 8 GB (X4 32GB DDR4 3200MHz)
▪Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Xtreme WATERFORCE WB 11G Graphics Card, Pre-Installed Waterblock, 11GB 352-bit GDDR6
▪Thermaltake TT Gaming PCI-E x16 3.0 Black Extender Riser Cable
▪Thermaltake Pacific C360 Ddc Res/Pump 5V Motherboard Sync Copper Radiator PETG Hard Tube Water Cooling Kit (3 RGB radiators fans)
▪i7 7700k 4.2 unlocked (RGB water cooling block)
▪Thermaltake View 37 Motherboard Sync ARGB E-ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case with two 200mm 5V ARGB LED front fans and one 120mm 5V ARGB LED rear fan
▪Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 750W 80+ Gold Smart Zero 256-Color RGB Fan Fully Modular Power Supply
▪DEEP COOL RGB Convertor, 5V ADD-RGB to 12V RGB Transfer Hub, Motherboard supports 12V 4-pin header for control; my board only accepts 12V non-addressable RGB, so conversion is necessary for the fans)
▪Samsung 860 EVO 500GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD
Thank you very much for your support.

I think the shutdown and continued shutdown suggest an overheating problem.
A restart typically points to a PSU fault.
I use a 1200W PSU and the system would shut down/restart even when only 550W was running. My 5V rail was at 4.5V while idle in the BIOS, which was even lower during stress.
I’d check your rail voltages in the BIOS. Even if they seem fine, they might drop unexpectedly and cause shutdowns.
Do you have a backup PSU available?

How long have you been using the PC? When did the problems begin?
Possible causes could be overheating or a faulty PSU. Try adjusting your GPU power target and turning off CPU overclocking, while setting RAM speeds to the default.
Review your Windows event log for more details.

Thank you for your reply. I finished the build around a week ago! Everything is brand new and set to default. I’ll look into the Windows event log, but it seems the computer just powers off without warning.

How did you arrive at a 7700K display? Was there a particularly inexpensive setup involved? And could you tell me what kind of monitor you're using—don't mention it's just a 1080p model.

I believe heating isn't a concern, check the video.

I purchased it on Amazon, but unfortunately my motherboard only supports the 7th generation. I paid $344 for it. For the monitor, I have this one:
MSI Non-Glare Ultrawide 21:9 Screen 8ms 3440 X 1440 100Hz Freesync 3K Resolution 34" Curved Gaming Monitor (Optix MAG341CQ)
I was hoping for something better but I've already spent more than my budget allows.
