While playing games, your Windows keeps freezing with the message "Critical process died." I installed a fresh Windows but it didn't resolve the problem. Removing the CPU overclock didn't help either. Changing AMD GPU drivers between three versions still failed to fix it, and after updating chipset drivers for my Ryzen CPU, the issue persisted. Currently, I'm running Grand Theft Auto V and Rainbow Six Siege and still encounter the same error. My PC details: Motherboard ASUS B450M TUF Gaming Plus, GPU Gigabyte AORUS RX 5700XT, CPU Ryzen 5 2600X @ stock speed, Memory Cosmic Vengeance RGB PRO @ 3200MHz. This situation is really frustrating.
Check the CPU activity. If it's running at full capacity even when idle, it could indicate cooling issues.
Which power supply unit do you have? What are the temperatures there? Are you able to track and share that information?
CPU performance ranges from 35 to 45 during idle and 50 to 60 when under load, with a cooler master hyper 212 cooler for the GPU delivering 40 at idle and 85 under load.
