Hey everyone.
I'm new to overclocking and managed to push my AMD Phenom II X6 1035 to 3.64ghz, but the machine keeps freezing randomly and needs restarts often. My BIOS settings are shown below. What adjustments should I make to improve stability? Any advice would be really helpful!

Yeah... skipping the CPU upgrade isn't worth it for just overclocking. If it kept causing issues, then maybe I would. When doing OC, you should pay attention to CPU multiplier, voltage, and bus speed. For example, my FX 6300 had (am4+ so different) voltage at 1.4250, multiplier at 20.5, and base frequency 200 mhz. If possible, try increasing the voltage and check if it improves things. If you were trying to overclock the FSB, revert that change. Since I'm not very experienced with these settings, I can't really advise much. Still, good luck!

I have limited knowledge of AM3 overclocking, mostly understanding AM3+. It seems you probably lack sufficient voltage. I don't know if adding more is safe, but typically when clocks are increased and issues arise, it's often due to insufficient power.

I have limited knowledge about AM3 overclocking, mostly just AM3+, and it seems you might not have enough voltage. I’m not sure if adding more is safe, but usually when clocks get faster you end up with freezes or BSODs, which suggests the voltage isn’t sufficient. Are your other settings correct? If you upgrade to a better CPU like the 1055t or 1075t, would it have a higher chance of overclocking? My motherboard is AM3, not AM3+, and I can only go up to an 1100t right now. I’m tight on funds until the end of the month—around 100 dollars at most.

Yeah... skipping the CPU upgrade isn't worth it for just overclocking. If it kept causing issues, then maybe I would. When adjusting performance, you should focus on CPU multiplier, voltage, and bus speed. For example, my FX 6300 had (am4+ with a different setup) voltage at 1.4250, multiplier at 20.5, and base frequency at 200 mhz. If possible, try increasing the voltage and notice the effect. If you were trying to overclock the FSB, revert that change. Since I'm not very experienced with these things, I can't really assist much. Still, good luck!
