The computer stopped working when I came back?
Hello.
Here are the details of my PC specifications:
Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI)
GPU: ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 3060 TI 8GB GDDR6
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Box
RAM: G.Skill F4-3600C18D-64GTZN
SSD (OS): Samsung 980 Pro SSD 1.0TB M.2 NVMe
SSD (Data): Samsung 870 QVO SSD 2TB 2.5" SATA
HDD Data: Seagate Barracuda 4TB
HDD Data: WD Red Plus 4TB
PSU: Corsair 850W ATX 24 pin RM850x (2021)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black
I left my computer running for six hours today, and upon returning home to turn on the monitor, it froze. This issue has occurred multiple times. Additionally, it has restarted itself when I left it idle. What could be causing this problem?

Which BIOS version is installed on your motherboard?
Power Supply: Corsair Power Supply 850W ATX 24 pin RM850x (2021)
How recent is the PSU in your system? Did it support the RTX 3060 Ti during its installation?
NVMe OS: Samsung 980 Pro SSD 1.0TB M.2 NVMe SSD
Storage: Samsung 870 QVO SSD 2TB 2.5
Checked with Samsung's Magician App to identify any pending firmware updates.
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black
What temperatures are recorded during reboots?
Additionally, the system has restarted autonomously when left idle, indicating no external input was required.
Such self-reinitialization may occur for two reasons:
1) Excessive heat buildup
2) Insufficient power delivery from the PSU to the entire setup.
Are you using a case made of this model? What is the ambient temperature in your room?
Version 3621 has been released. My PC was created in October 2021. Yes. There are no firmware updates available. I monitored the temperature and it reached 46°C. Initially, I think the issue stemmed from the adverse weather. While my computer was on for a few hours while I was away, upon returning home I noticed no display response—only a black screen. After pressing the reset button, I reopened Windows 11. About four hours later, while listening to music on YouTube, the system restarted twice. I replaced the thermal paste and applied additional CoolerMaster MasterGel Pro V2. These restarts occurred roughly a week ago.
Additionally, concerning freezing problems: I attempted to reinstall the graphics card drivers without success. I checked Hard Disk Sentinel and found the NVMe drive at 93% health.
I also set the RAM frequency to 3600 MHz with a voltage of 1.35V.
Lastly, three days ago I reinstalled Windows 11 Pro 25H2. I left the PC running for two days—overnight and another day—and it never froze.
In summary, I conducted some online research, examined the Event Viewer, and discovered the following:
Critical: Source: Kernel-Power, Event ID: 46 – The system rebooted without a clean shutdown first. This could be due to unresponsiveness, crashes, or unexpected power loss.
Error, Source: EventLog, Event ID:6008 – The previous shutdown on 12/4/2025 at 3:40:45 PM was unexpected.
Error, Source: Service Control Manager, Event ID:7031 – The Windows Search service stopped unexpectedly. A restart will be performed shortly.
Error, Source: Service Control Manager, Event ID:7023 – The Windows Search service terminated with the message: “A specified logon session does not exist.” It may have already been ended.
Error: Source: TPM-WMI, Event ID:1801 – Secure Boot certificates were updated but are not yet applied to the device firmware. Please follow the guidance to complete the update and ensure full protection. This device information is included here.

How many RAM modules are there? Can you provide screenshots from the CPU-Z memory and spd sections? (upload to imgur.com and post link)
F4-3600C18-32GTZN contains 2x16GB modules. Do you have two kits inside? (4x16GB modules)
I will review it.
Initially, I possess two kits with 2x32GB modules. I'm sharing CPU-Z Memory and SPD images as well. The frequency change was from Auto to 3600MHz.

Did you save the A-XMP/DOCP configuration?
If you adjusted the frequency manually, the DRAM voltage might not be correct.
To fix this, raise the DRAM voltage to 1.35V and adjust latencies to 18-22-22-42.
If you don’t have all the required parameters, simply apply the XMP profile.
That will handle everything automatically.
If the 3600mhz setting remains unstable after applying the XMP profile, consider reducing the frequency to 3400mhz or 3200mhz.
If you intend to experiment with the memory configuration, start memtest86+ from a USB drive.
Should it succeed in several tests, any issues are likely due to limitations of your system rather than faulty hardware.
If it encounters problems, adjust the memory settings until stability is achieved.
Make sure to review the relevant Motherboard's User Guide or Manual.
Certain boards need the initial RAM slot to be set in a designated position, usually DIMM_A2.
This detail isn't always clearly stated in the manual's text or diagrams.
I observed an asterisk next to the DIMM_A2 module in the Installation Guide, which might be a hint.
Please consult the documentation and check the manufacturer's website for confirmation of RAM placement.
I appreciate your reply.
I discovered the reason behind my computer freezing after sitting idle for roughly four hours.
It became unresponsive, and I kept the RAM settings unchanged at 3600 MHz with 1.350 V while leaving other parameters as they were.
Upon opening the View Reliability History application, I saw an error linked to GPUFANHelper.
Further investigation revealed the issue originated from the ASUS AI Suite application.
Additionally, I observed the CPU fans acting unpredictably, increasing their speed randomly even though temperatures stayed between 60–70 °C.
It looked like there was a malfunction in communication between the software and hardware.
After removing ASUS AI Suite, my computer ran smoothly for three to four days without more problems.
Thank you very much
