My computer sometimes shuts down unexpectedly and won’t boot, so I restart it often but it usually works fine. Occasionally it stays stable for weeks. I considered a BIOS update to prevent this issue. After playing MFS2020, it always crashes to the desktop. Someone suggested a BIOS update might help. I already disabled Windows Auto-Restart. My BIOS was updated from mid-2019, and I’m trying the update now, about halfway through the download. My PC crashed again when I started it, showing only a black screen, though the fans are still running as before. I’ve tried reseating RAM, moving the CMOS battery outside for over 20 minutes, and even disabling power, but nothing works. Maybe I should replace the motherboard? My PC is an ASRock B450 Steel Legend Ryzen 7 3800X with 16GB RAM, 2070 Super SSD, 600W, 1TB NVMe drive. Thanks for your help—I apologize for the poor English and hope you have a great day!

Investigate Bios Flashback to determine its effectiveness in bios recovery. After retrieving the bios, the board must update its status.

Unfortunately, this won't work with the AsRock B450 Steel Legend mainboard.

They have no alternative for bios recovery. I’d remove the entire board completely. Take off all components. Disconnect every cable. Let it sit for a few hours, preferably overnight. Reassemble on the table using the case. Keep only the CPU and one memory stick in its slot as per the manual. Connect the VGA and power cables. Test the diagnostics speaker; if it beeps, it’s a positive sign. Refer to the dropdown below my signature—AMI beep codes are what you should check. If it doesn’t respond, just spin the fans and consider warranty or replacement.
