Issue: System occasionally stops unexpectedly and freezes when starting programs. 1. System halts, sometimes I can move the mouse, other times I can't. No interaction with apps works. 2. I hear the hard drive and fans increasing speed. 3. Then the hard drive stops abruptly, fans slow down, and everything resumes normally. This happens for roughly 30 seconds to a minute. It's been happening for about six months now. I've kept Task Manager open to check for overloads, but nothing unusual appears. Details: CPU i7 7700 MB, HP 8307, GPU GTX 1070, SSD Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB (installed OS), HDD 6TB Hitachi HGST HUS726060ALE614, RAM 16GB dual channel 1200MHZ (brand unknown), OS Windows 10 Home 64 Bit, PSU unknown, BIOS version F.17.
