The computer shuts down unexpectedly.
PC shuts down instantly during FSB or cache stress tests but works normally with just CPU or graphics card testing. It also powers off when running Minecraft, StarCraft, PubG, etc., while gaming runs smoothly. Motherboard Aorus Master X570 power supply 1000W, CPU 5800X, RAM 32GB, storage M.2 1TB, Western Digital GSKill. All drivers and BIOS are current, temperatures are low. What are your thoughts? CPU, motherboard, or power supply?
XMP settings on RAM didn’t change when switching between XMP enabled and disabled, and the same happened with a reliable power supply. It seems the issue might be with the motherboard or CPU itself. Since I can’t test hardware swaps right now, that’s my best guess.
Just to clarify a few points: CPUs tend to hold up well, while motherboards often need attention. Prioritize the basics first—check if your BIOS and chipset drivers are up to date. Also, verify the age of your Windows installation (assuming you're using it). Which Seasonic PSU do you plan to use? And which one did you try replacing?
