Hello, over the last half month I've been dealing with BSODs accompanied by error codes like "KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE" and "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL." I've been attempting to understand the root cause while feeling like I've tried nearly every solution. Before sharing my details, could you give me a brief overview of my system and the steps I've taken so far? I suspect the problem might lie with my CPU, as my PC only crashes when idle or during normal activities, but I can run games such as Destiny 2, Ready or Not, and The First Descendant Technical Test. To mitigate the issue, I've started keeping Destiny 2 open on a second monitor and maintaining a high FPS, which keeps CPU usage around 25%, preventing blue screens. However, other titles like The Quarry and Trombone Champ still cause crashes, even though Trombone Champ isn't heavily CPU-demanding. I haven't yet checked the CPU performance in The Quarry. I'm planning to share my latest dump files if they might help others. My PC specs are: CPU - Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Mobo - MSI X570S, Tomahawk MAX, WiFi RAM - Corsair 2x16GB DDR4-3600 CL18 GPU - GeForce RTX3070Ti, MSI Gaming X Trio SSDs, 1TB Crucial P5 Plus (Boot), 2TB Crucial P5 Plus (Games), PSU - Corsair RM850x. I've run memory tests on individual RAM modules using Memtest86 and Windows, reinstalled Windows twice, used sfc scannow and CHKDSK in CMD, updated drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled Nvidia drivers, tested with a single RAM stick for a week without crashes, disabled XMP, updated BIOS and AMD chipset drivers, turned off PBO in BIOS. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'll include the link to my latest dump files below. Dump files - https://pixeldrain.com/u/9y9WpZvh

Five of six dump files reveal the problem right after PPM initiates a power state change. It detects a page fault, indicating a contiguous memory section was accessed. The final entry shows a memory error during an I/O operation. This behavior seems to originate from the CPU itself. While I mentioned memory errors and page faults, the random nature of corrupted data makes it hard to pinpoint the cause. If the CPU is under warranty, returning it would be ideal. If not, disabling C-States on an AMD board might help. Removing C-States reduces power states to a single high-performance mode, potentially lowering idle consumption. I’ve seen limited discussion about this on Google for AMD systems, especially when using overclocking setups like the older video mentioned. It could also relate to the motherboard configuration since components connect in specific ways. To give context, the process begins with the kernel requesting a power idle transition, followed by PPM executing the transition. Then the PPM triggers a page fault, prompting a bugcheck (BSOD). The dump entries consistently show these exact commands, with no other anomalies detected across the six files.

Thank you for your feedback. Based on what you shared, it seems a long-term fix could involve replacing the CPU. Upgrading to the AM5 platform might help, as it would allow swapping out parts that are likely causing problems.
