I increased my amdfx6300 speed to 4.1gig for Hunt Showdown but it froze. After restarting, the computer became stuck in a reboot loop and Windows wouldn’t load. I tried replacing the hard drives with another OS using Windows 7, but with that drive I saw a blue screen warning about rebooting to prevent damage. Did this damage my CPU? What’s going on? Please help.

Maybe it's the RAM issue? Based on your past experiences, you typically face immediate freezing rather than reboot cycles. Still, anything could happen. You might want to test one RAM stick at a time during startup to check the outcome.
Understand all your computer components including GPU, motherboard, power supply, and RAM. You should be able to reset the OC to its default speed by adjusting the jumper on your motherboard. If you reset using CMOS, turn off the system, unplug the power cable, and follow the diagram. A small jumper fitting over one or two of the three prongs will help. Wait 5 seconds, then place it on the other two prongs and wait 15 seconds. After that, remove it and reinsert it in the correct position. Reconnect the power cable and turn the power button back on. Once the system is running, you should be able to access BIOS settings.
The specifications are mb-ga970ud3p with DDR3 RAM, a 970GB RAM card, and a powerful power supply isn't mentioned.
still working after removing the battery for a while
🙁
Maybe try pressing F8 and check if safe mode starts. If you have the Windows CD or USB, use a repair tool to fix the boot issue. Probably not a CPU problem.
