The computer powers off after I place it to sleep, and it feels controlled by something evil!
I'm using Windows 10 version 1709 (build 16299.371). When I put it into sleep mode, it actually shuts down completely. However, I can wake it up with my mouse and keyboard as if it were still in sleep. But once it starts running, it seems to reload everything from scratch. I tried to explain clearly, but I'm having trouble getting help.
It might be a sleep state issue—review the BIOS settings. This could also connect to a quick startup; consider turning it off temporarily. Still, upgrading is faster, so give it a try.
