The computer occasionally stops working properly and becomes unresponsive during gameplay!
Hey there!
Whenever I play games, my PC randomly freezes and stops working. I can open Task Manager but it doesn’t help much. The only options are to restart or shut down, yet the game and audio keep running.
PC specs:
- Board: MBO- MSI B350 Gaming Plus
- GPU: 1050 Ti
- CPU: 2600x
- RAM: 16GB 2400MHz DDR4
- SSD: 120GB Kingston
- HDD: 2TB Seagate Barracuda (no overclocking)
- RAM XMP profile: enabled
Hey guys, please help me!
1. Your RAM speed isn't suitable for a Ryzen processor.
2. Consider using Driver Booster from this link to potentially resolve any problems.
https://www.iobit.com/en/driver-booster.php
3. The power supply you're using might be insufficient, leading to graphics card crashes.
4. Monitor your temperatures; overheating can cause system instability.
5. Launch an elevated command prompt (Windows Key + X) and execute "sfc /scannow". Restart the system if it resolves any issues.
*Start with #2, as drivers are typically the first step when troubleshooting crashes.*
Ryzen prefers quick RAM, usually suggesting at least 2666, but I wouldn't settle below 3000 Mhz. It's simple to adjust—raise your memory speed to 2666 or 3000 and increase the voltage to 1.30. The power supply seems sufficient; have you checked the drivers?
Prince Xaine mentions Ryzen prefers fast RAM, suggesting a minimum of 2666 MHz, but recommends not going below 3000 MHz. It's easy to adjust by increasing the memory speed to 2666 or 3000 and raising the voltage to 1.30. The power supply seems sufficient, so they checked the drivers.
Corsair memory overclocks perform exceptionally. It should handle overclocking smoothly.
I'll try it then, thanks! Did increasing the memory speed make a difference? I'm facing a similar problem and want to know if it could help.
