Hey there! I just finished assembling a new setup. It includes a 650W power supply, an i5-13500 processor, an RTX 4060 with OC settings, an 8GB NVMe SSD, a 2TB NVMe SSD, an Arctic Freezer 240, a Kingston Fury 32GB RAM, and a Windows 11 system. I’ve also got a TUF B760 motherboard with Wi-Fi.
I’ve noticed some odd behavior while playing games like Far Cry 6, Fortnite, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, or Avatar. Sometimes my character just keeps moving without reacting to keyboard input—mouse works fine, but Spotify seems to freeze everything. It plays the same song repeatedly until I press the in-game button again. It feels like a sudden jump in input delay from about 5 seconds to around 300 seconds. Occasionally it happens multiple times in an hour, while other days it’s completely normal.
Occasionally, my character also shows minor lag when Spotify is playing, but not with the same pattern. All temperatures are normal, and I’ve checked my BIOS, memory diagnostics, and hardware health tools. The Kingston manager reports no issues, and I ran HWMonitor to track temperatures. I turned off Intel Rapid Storage Technology, replaced my keyboard, and switched to Windows 11 Home.
I have a hunch it might be related to CPU usage—maybe Spotify or another app is consuming extra resources. My old machine had similar issues with an older CPU and HDD, but it never happened. If anyone has insights, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
