The computer isn't sending updates.
Hi everyone, I wanted to build my first pc today and put everything together as it should. When I tried to turn it on for the first time it would show red light, then orange, nothing for a second, followed by white and then staying at a green light. (I have a asus tuf b660m motherboard). I have tried reseating my gpu, RAM, even looked at the CPU again and the pins on the board. It all seems fine. Even tried to clear the CMOS a few times but didn't help. What can I do at this point if I don't have any hardware to replace mine? My parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Hammerjunge/saved/yjwXRB Thx for your help.
Have you attempted constructing it outside the chassis with just one RAM module?
Reviewed several posts and overlooked something. It seems unlikely to be the issue I assumed—it checks out on Asus' QVL, making it a fairly common problem since many people aren’t aware of QVL and just purchase a generic kit without doing research. Even if your kit is listed in QVL, there’s still a chance your DIMM could be faulty. With your 4x8 layout, try booting with only one stick. Updated September 18, 2022 by An0maly_76
