The computer is unresponsive when powered on.
I own an iBuyPower desktop and recently acquired a Gigabyte RTX 2080 graphics card and an EVGA 650 B3 power supply for it. After installing the components, including the GPU and power supply, and connecting everything, the system successfully booted. I attempted to update the drivers using GeForce Experience but was informed that it already had the latest version, so I chose to reinstall it. However, approximately halfway through the installation process, all my displays—two DisplayPort connections and one HDMI port—transitioned to low-power mode and failed to resume. I waited an extended period, but they remained unresponsive. Unable to restart the computer, I disconnected it, waited approximately 30 seconds, and then reconnected it. Upon pressing the power button, the PC failed to activate. I removed the power supply unit to examine it (utilizing the paperclip test method) and observed that its fan initiated, indicating functionality. Consequently, the power supply itself is not the cause of the issue. Notably, the fan within the power supply ceases operation when connected to the motherboard. I am uncertain about the next steps and would appreciate any suggestions or guidance. My motherboard is an ASRock B250m Pro4-ib.
Attempting to connect your monitor cables directly to the motherboard might reveal whether a display appears during startup. If it does, this suggests a problem with your RTX card itself. However, if no display appears, there could be an additional hardware fault elsewhere.
I'm unable to respond effectively to your previous response. I genuinely didn’t intend to express disapproval by reducing your score. I attempted to troubleshoot the computer's screen—the issue is that the machine fails to activate completely.
