and additionally, when increasing the speed, adjust it gradually and verify your system's stability using tools such as Prime95 or OCCT.
My computer is running smoothly after following your instructions, and everything functioned perfectly. I only needed to reset the cMOS and replace the battery with a new one. The only issue right now is with Google Chrome, which displays an error saying it cannot connect to the real website. It warns that visiting www.google.com might expose private information to an attacker. Anyone have any ideas about what’s happening? It’s not a major problem at the moment—I’m just relieved my computer is back online. Thanks for your assistance!
I ignored their suggestion and checked my computer's date and time on Yahoo's site; everything was correct. After updating, Chrome performed much better.
I still have a lot to learn about overclocking. I understand the fundamentals but getting mixed up with RAM timings and voltage makes it tricky. I need to study more before trying to push my 3.5 GHz CPU to 4.6 GHz with air cooling! LOL

it works like a watch battery but slightly larger than a penny. Unplug power, remove the battery and RAM... that should clear the memory (for safety). Wait 1 or 2 minutes then put it back. Don’t forget to touch the case for static electricity.
I was trying to overclock as a 12-year-old, watching a video about boosting an Intel CPU thinking voltages would stay the same. I added 0.14 volts, but that was too small compared to what my friend showed after I made the mistake. It affected my FX 8320 or 8350 specifically. But now the computer turns off and starts again with everything working—still unsure if the CPU is okay. My mouse is flickering, screen doesn’t turn on, keyboard isn’t lighting up, and I can’t find the BIOS battery on my 970 gaming board.
