I have many more inquiries than solutions. When neither the 2 TB nor the 8 TB storage device is connected, the system functions normally. If only the 2 TB unit is attached, the issue remains unchanged from earlier. With just the 8 TB unit connected, the failure is similar to before, though the display stays illuminated slightly longer and the RAM indicators remain active without shutting down. Still, the computer doesn't operate at all. What could be happening? Edited December 22, 2024 by drago967

It’s best to try those drives on another machine. Also, verify the SATA and power cables. If you have crucial data that isn’t backed up, now is a good moment to evaluate your choices.

It might be that the cables (power or SATA), the motherboard port, or both failed simultaneously. Or there could be unusual grounding problems when the drives are installed. Try to extract any information from them as quickly as possible using another PC or an external enclosure for a desktop. You could also test them on a different machine. Ultimately, unless you intend to use HDDs again, it’s best to skip them and move forward.
