Without the loading bar, you're seeing just the splash screen. I'm not sure it's directly related to the drive, but it seems connected to the boot manager. Since I replaced an old drive in this setup, the Windows components should be gone now.

You're asking about the operating system present on the drive. It might be running Ubuntu, but there could be others too. Confirm whether it's installed or if it's being accessed via a USB boot.

There are two storage units. One is brand new with Ubuntu installed, while the other is older and ran Windows previously. A few files remain, but they aren’t currently in use. It’s unclear if the system started from a USB drive; it seemed to function without one before. An extra note: the BIOS automatically switches the Ubuntu drive above Windows when power is restored. I’m not sure why this happens.

Remove the Windows drive. Keep Ubuntu as the first boot option. Restart the computer and check its behavior. It could attempt to boot into Windows.

You tried it again but nothing changed. The same problem persists.

Try launching from USB. If successful, reinstall the software on the affected drive.

Just finishing up. It's late now, and I'm still looking for the USB. I'll follow up tomorrow. Appreciate your assistance!

Hi, thank you for the update. I had more tasks than anticipated. After rebooting via USB, the system appears to function, though it keeps loading with a spinning cursor and doesn’t stop. It’s been running for roughly 30 minutes now. The mouse still behaves normally, suggesting the issue might be related to the SSD. I removed the problematic SSD and it resolved, so I’m not sure what caused it, but I’ll avoid using that one again. Appreciate your assistance!
