The system is repeatedly freezing, making it unreliable. I think the hardware might be faulty, especially the CPUs. The diagnostic tools I used also freeze during tests. I’ve had issues removing and reattaching storage drives, and Windows won’t update smoothly. Steam and Space Engineers are unstable, and Fusion 360 keeps crashing. What’s going on?

Consider switching to another drive, preferably a standard mechanical one, for the operating system. Eliminate the M2 completely. The recurring strange problems are pointing toward this area as the likely source.

I mixed up my 1tbs with an old Dell model and didn’t need to reinstall the OS. It took some time to get drivers working, but I managed to add more RAM and it ran for about seven minutes before the task manager showed high uptime. After rebooting, Steam and other programs updated themselves, then I restarted again. Eventually it wouldn’t boot at all, freezing twice before logging in. Now I’m attempting a clean install of the 1tb that was saved earlier for storage.

It froze once more, but this time it cleared both math exams. The CPU was struggling with the spiny component, not spinning for more than five minutes. Edit: This was a new setup on an empty HD 1TB Seagate Barracuda. I hadn’t even set up the drivers yet. It performed better than any prior attempts.

Considering an additional $150 to explore alternative memory options.
