The computer is behaving oddly.
It began when I encountered a blue screen after launching a Rust game (Rust) that displayed "MEMORY_MANAGENENT." I dismissed it and restarted the computer, which ran the game without issues. Over time, I noticed a black screen appearing during boot (after the Windows logo), which I couldn't resolve, forcing me to reinstall Windows. Once I did that, my PC frequently displayed a BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO blue screen after startup. I managed to boot into Windows the first time after installation, but the second attempt triggered another blue screen. After seven Windows installations, it eventually worked, though everything felt off. Steam was one example where I kept encountering disk write errors and other strange issues when downloading games I'd never played before, sync problems, and the Task Scheduler didn't function properly—sometimes due to an MMC problem. The overall experience felt unusual, and I couldn't pinpoint the cause.
Both BSODs usually resolve after updating drivers. If that doesn’t help, check your RAM—possibly defective RAM caused the second error. Also, if you notice unusual sounds and errors from your hard drive, consider installing Windows on another system. Have you made any recent changes to components? The problem might stem from software, so test the new Windows installation on the first boot or after installing specific programs.
Board or CPU might not be compatible with the RAM speed. Review the specifications for both. Many users ignore this detail. A noisy hard drive isn't the issue; it could be a failing motherboard affecting everything. @Vastery Note: Board works with 2133, CPU supports DDR4-1866/2133 and DDR3L-1333/1600 at 1.35V... If your RAM is faster or overclocked beyond those limits, that's the starting point. Edited July 2, 2022 by An0maly_76 Updated with more info
I recently upgraded my PC a month ago (motherboard, RAM, processor) and everything has been functioning smoothly so far. I even played games like God of War and Red Dead Redemption without any issues. It seems Windows was working well initially, but after installing certain drivers, stability problems appeared and blue screens occurred.
Interestingly, these days such issues don<|pad|> a lot of users encounter. Many people who installed Corsair RAM with Ryzens suddenly began behaving erratically. It might be linked to the chipset combination and the specific Ryzen model or generation, causing the RAM to surpass the CPU's supported speed. Although this problem can occur with any RAM brand, I notice a trend of abrupt instability and crashes after using Corsair RAM. It's common knowledge that Ryzens are flexible with RAM, but they seem to tolerate it for a while before discarding it. Personally, I suggest Crucial Ballistix for Ryzen. I own them in both 1700 and my current 5900X without any issues tied directly to RAM. Edited July 2, 2022 by An0maly_76 Revision, more info
Guys, it seems the issue fixed itself. While playing Rust, I experienced a memory management BSOD. After restarting, Windows performed a disk repair on the boot screen and resolved all my problems. I’m not sure why it didn’t work the first time. @An0maly_76
