My desktop computer occasionally locks up during gameplay and internet use. The display remains static at a single image, accompanied by heightened activity from my processor’s fan. Following approximately 20 seconds, the system recovers and functions without issue. What steps can I take to resolve this problem? Speccy screenshot

You’ll need to observe this happening immediately; the most effective instrument is the Process Monitor. Obtain and execute it, as it records activity which is added at the end. Following a system freeze, review the record and identify the processes responsible for the problem.

You’ll need to observe this happening directly; the most effective instrument is the Process Monitor. Obtain and execute it, as it records activity which is then added to the final section. Following a system halt, review the log file and you should be able to identify the processes responsible for triggering the problem.

There appears to be an issue concerning svchost.exe. Several performance indicators show buffer overflows. Can you clarify what this signifies?

I don’t specialize in malware but I am aware of several threats that embed themselves or disguise themselves within svchost.exe. It would be beneficial to run a scan in safe mode utilizing common free tools such as Malwarebytes, Bitdefender, Adaware, and Superantispyware to observe the results.
