I assembled my initial PC using second-hand components from Ebay (excluding RAM, NVMe drive, and power supply). When powered on, it often displays the gigabyte logo and then a black screen. This occurs during restarts or when I press the power button on the case. It usually requires several attempts to get it running. Disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable sometimes helps, though not consistently. No error messages appear. Checking the BIOS confirms everything is functioning normally. Temperatures are within range, and all fans are spinning. I rebuilt it again just to verify. After a successful Windows boot, everything works perfectly. I played a few games, ran benchmark tests, and encountered no problems. Specifications include: Ryzen 5 3600 (cooler stock), GIGABYTE B450M DS3H PowerColor Hellhound RX 6600 8GB GDDR6 Silicon DDR4 16GB (8GBx2) RGB RAM, Turbine Gaming 3200MHz Silicon Power, 512GB NVMe (Boot Drive), Western Digital 2TB WD Red NAS Internal Hard Drive, and a Thermaltake smart 700W unit. I’m not using a monitor yet—I haven’t received one and am testing with an old Vizio LCD TV just to confirm everything works. Can you assist? Thanks ahead.

Do you have another method to verify this? The gigabyte download page linked for their Windows tool appears to be nonfunctional.

You can identify what processes are running if your keyboard and/or mouse light up upon startup. When Windows boots, execute prime95 with large and smallest FFTs; if the large FFTs don’t succeed, it suggests a RAM issue.

You just updated the CMOS and reinstalled the graphics card, and it’s now functioning properly. Appreciate your help!
