Recently upgraded GPU but faced some issues. After installing and powering on, I experienced a long DRAM post followed by VGA on the motherboard. Restarting multiple times helped, but once it was short, the system booted normally with the Intel i5 10600K, GeForce RTX 3060, 16GB DDR4 at 2400MHz, and Asus Strix Z490-G gaming Wi-Fi motherboard.
Here are some straightforward points to consider:
- Are there any basic issues with the boots?
- Is there any odd behavior during gameplay?
- Have you attempted a CMOS reset before powering on?
- Was the GPU replaced or re-seated?
- Does using an older GPU or integrated graphics still show DRAM or VGA functionality?
The results are excellent once it's released.
I haven't attempted a reset of the CMOS, although I did try re-seating it.
Earlier, I experienced some issues with IGPG.
I checked the ASUS support page for troubleshooting tips. If that didn’t help, consider testing all RAM slots by installing a different stick in each one to see if any are defective. You mentioned using 2400MHz RAM—confirm whether it’s a single stick or two 8GB sticks and how they were purchased.
I own two sticks, each with 8GB storage, purchased together. They seem to be 2666 GB, but they operate at 2400MHz.
