My Ryzen 2600x (b450 asus strix-f) has been sitting idle for two years, and I didn’t feel like fixing it. Perhaps having eight RGB fans was an overkill! Right now, the system won’t power up at all—even when I try to connect the front panel or press the power button. The Mobo lights are on, so power is reaching the board, but RAM sticks aren’t working and a different PSU hasn’t helped. I’ve also re-seated the CPU. Since I installed two NVMe SSDs after the last boot, could they be interfering? I’m really puzzled since everything else seems to be connected.
This seems intriguing... Have you experimented with a fresh CMOS battery? It might not be the problem, but it's quite an inexpensive fix, isn't it? You've switched out another power supply and still faced the same issue. It probably points toward a motherboard concern. I'd suggest performing a minimal boot—just the CPU, one RAM stick, no storage, and even without a GPU—to verify if power delivery is functioning or if there are any changes in status lights or boot code. This could help confirm whether something unusual is interfering during startup.
