The computer fails to start after turning on AMD EXPO.
What actions should I take regarding the RAM if everything fails and I need a replacement? I want to try, but I don’t have much experience with manual RAM overclocking or undervolting.
This is the appearance of the cable, isn't it? Are you suggesting VRM goes into CPU_opt? Also, it seems difficult to find a single cable that fits and mounts this one properly. I can't reach it anymore; I'm having to remove the GPU and try, but it looks like I'd have to unmount the radiator pump from the board, which was really frustrating. Screw me.
I believe the person here mentioned the AIO connectors are fine?
Question - Connecting Arctic Freezer Liquid Cooler 3 to my motherboard.
For the CPU fan, ensure the cable connects to the CPU fan header; otherwise, the motherboard won't recognize the cooler and may display an error. AIO coolers typically include this cable, so based on your photos you seem to have it as well. Regarding the RAM, it appears you're using an XMP Corsair kit, which may not be compatible with your AMD motherboard or CPU out of the box. Once you activate EXPO, check the RAM voltage—ideally it should be 1.35V, but adjust to 1.4V if needed. For the CL28 at 6000 MT/s, this setting seems quite high for the 9800X3D; consider switching to CL30 (30-36-36-72). After making these changes, allow some time for the board to adjust to the new settings (this could take a few minutes).
This process can actually require three to four minutes for the board to upload, right after RAM modifications.
There are two cables included with the liquid freezer III; which one are you talking about? You mentioned using the single header one. Are you suggesting I disconnect the AIO pump header from the cpu_pump slot and instead link it to the cpu_fan slot? The pump to pump idea makes sense... man, this whole situation is really frustrating, but I value your patience in responding. Really do.
