Many have likely inquired about this already. Are you using the authentic PSU cable? It’s probably one of the rare options where a different cable works, so verify the markings on both ends.

It was built from the case, but when anything connects to the 8-pin section it doesn’t power up.

You're using the proper cable. By Saturday your computer functioned well until it ceased when attempting to remove dust from your AIO filter.
