You might need to test another memory module if the RAM or CPU isn't functioning properly. Differences between models, even from the same brand, can cause unexpected failures. It’s likely you’ve damaged either the memory or the processor. Based on past experience, it’s difficult to recover a failed memory without better parts. Upgrading often requires premium components, which already raises costs for the memory, CPU, and RAM. You could also trigger firmware corruption by activating auto-recovery during flashing attempts, sometimes causing the board to self-destruct. Flashing firmware outside factory settings is generally not recommended.
I didn’t get what I expected. I double-checked everything and tried it both mentally and with my actual hardware. Nothing functioned properly. I packed up my motherboard, CPU, and RAM, and I have four years of warranty coverage, so I should be okay since it’s included. Thanks for your support! I’m really hoping the issue was with the motherboard itself because I only had a one-year warranty on that part.
The parts were checked and it turned out my motherboard and CPU got damaged, but they’re now installing a new CPU and motherboard, with the RAM still intact. They weren’t aware of what happened, and we didn’t have to pay anything because Intel sent a replacement 12600K and I received warranty service for my Z690 in-store. Thanks everyone for your help—it would have been stressful without you, and this thread could be useful if something similar arises later. Thanks all!
