Hello, I just upgraded my PC but faced a problem where the monitors would freeze. However, when background video plays, audio remains clear. I've reinstalled graphics drivers, updated BIOS for the motherboard, and changed power supply wires without success. My current specs are: MSI Gaming AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS, Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB), DDR4 3600MH, Corsair CX-M CX750M, 750W ATX, 80 PLUS BRONZE. The issue occurs intermittently—sometimes after a couple of hours of gaming, other times after 12 hours. I'm running out of ideas and would appreciate your help.
I encountered persistent crashes despite several fixes. I reformatted both SSDs and cleared all data from them. Then I removed partitions on my M.2 drive using the Windows installation tool from a USB drive, and reinstalled Windows onto it. Next, I used DDU in safe mode to uninstall any AMD drivers that might have been installed by Windows, followed by downloading the newest GPU drivers for my MSI GTX 6600XT directly from AMD’s site. After updating the GPU drivers, I proceeded with installing the latest chipset drivers for my motherboard (Asus TUF B550 Plus). Once everything was set up, I tested the system with a less demanding game and then moved on to a more graphics-heavy title for about an hour without issues. However, after roughly two hours of gaming, the system crashed again. I haven’t updated LAN drivers, audio drivers, or Windows 10 itself. My current specs are listed below:
- MSI Gaming AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT
- AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
- ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS
- Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3600MHz
- CORSAIR CX-M CX750M 750W ATX, 80 PLUS Bronze
- Western Digital WD BLACK SN850 NVMe M.2 2280 1TB
- Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SATA 2.5" Internal SSD (two of them)
