The clock on my PC has been incorrect for a while now. I checked it using Microsoft Security Essentials, and everything looked fine. I adjusted the time, but after a while it started showing the wrong date again. I’m not sure what to do.

Use a MoBo battery, typically CR2032 models. For guidance, search online or watch YouTube tutorials on this process. This type of battery ensures the BIOS stays powered via CMOS even without mains electricity, preserving your date, time, region, and boot settings. If the battery fails, the CMOS won't track time accurately, causing the system clock to seem slower over time if power is lost completely.

Also verify the motherboard app center or similar tools for any automatic time changes.

It appears to function well so far, ideally lasting indefinitely. Appreciate the support!

You need to figure out why the update stopped working after turning off your PC. Check the settings or logs for any issues, and try restarting your system or reinstalling the changes.
