I recently purchased a new Acer Nitro 5 laptop, but after some time, gaming became very slow. The performance dropped significantly, making it hard to play and slowing down everything else, including background tasks. This issue persists even after restarting the computer, sleeping, or closing the game completely. After checking the Task Manager, I noticed low CPU usage (1-5%) but high GPU activity—Intel and Nvidia GPUs were nearly at full capacity, while the CPU stayed idle. Memory usage was consistently around 60% during idle and reached up to 100% when a game was running. It seems the RAM might be the problem. I've adjusted settings in the Nvidia Control Panel and updated Windows and drivers, but it still happens with certain games like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail (on Discord), Rainbow Six Siege, Omega Strikers, Dark Souls III, and even some others. Games that never caused this issue include Elden Ring, Geometry Dash, Terraria, Garry's Mod, Tomb Raider, and more. I suspect a RAM limitation rather than overheating or GPU issues. I tried enabling/disabling hardware acceleration settings, but nothing worked. If you have any additional details, please let me know.

The main problem seems to be insufficient storage. Modern gaming requires a minimum of 16 GB. Running out of RAM causes swapping, which severely impacts speed.

Thanks, I'll look into it upgrading soon. Just to say, I haven't located anyone else with the same issue, which made me uncertain.

It seems the issue persists despite adding more RAM from a faulty laptop. Even with low usage, the performance drops. I discovered that enabling Coolboost in Nitrosense resolves the problem, though it doesn’t eliminate the lag during actual occurrences.
