Received my brother's birthday gift: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 Challenger Arc A380 with 6GB M.2 SSD, MSI SPATIUM Series M.2 2280, 1TB OLOy OWL 16GB (2x8GB), 288-pin DDR4 3600 ASRock A520M-HDV AM4, AMD SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX Montech Gamma II 750W. Certified 80+ Gold. Everything new from Newegg. I assembled it and installed Windows 10 using a USB drive, but it froze during setup. After a short wait, it restarted and froze again after about two minutes. It doesn’t freeze in BIOS and enters safe mode with the message “Account has been disabled. Please see your System Administrator.” It prompts for login to an unknown admin account or “defaultuser0.” I disassembled, reassembled, put it back in safe mode, and reinstalled Windows from a fresh installer on the drive. I suspect he skipped driver installation beforehand, which may have caused the issue. Did I miss something? Is there a solution or should I return the parts? Thanks for any help.

I've experienced problems with the Oloy memory recently. Are there other DDR4 kits available for testing, so we can check if the freezing issue continues with a different one?

I attempted to start with only a single RAM stick, but it wouldn't boot. After removing the RAM from my PC and trying it in another, it still didn't work. I have two 8GB XPG Z1 DDR4 3200MHz sticks.

It seems the system won't start or post properly. If it doesn’t post with one RAM stick in a certain slot, the issue might be with that slot or the RAM itself. Have you tested it in other slots or just this one? Also, check if the other RAM sticks would post in the same slot. If the computer isn’t responding with your setup, it could indicate a faulty board. To fix this, ensure your BIOS is current. The Ryzen 5000 series had memory problems at launch that required BIOS updates. If your board is older, an update might be necessary for better memory support and stability.

It won't post, I don't think I tried the other slot—it only has two options. I'll try that once I get home from work.

I had a friend visit with tools, drivers, and spare parts on a USB drive. We figured out he had a bad M.2 module, so I’m sending it back and purchasing a Samsung SSD instead. Thanks for your assistance!
