He experienced frequent crashes and freezing, with the GPU sometimes failing to send a signal. While I was present, I tried rotating the PC to remove the side panel and inspect for issues, but it froze right away. I suspected a loose connection and removed the device to check for damage—found none. There were no bent pins or socket problems. The motherboard or GPU itself might be faulty. Since I don’t have a replacement part or tools, any suggestions would be helpful. Could I prevent him from moving or bumping into the PC while using it? He can’t afford to buy anything right now.

Not all details are available at the moment. We’re not in their location. MOBO is an Asrock FM2A68M-HD+ GPU, paired with a Gigabyte RTX 1650 CPU featuring a quad-core design. The system includes 8GB of DDR3 SSD storage from Kingston, totaling 480GB.

I fixed the issue by taking out the chip and reassembling it carefully. I replaced and reconnected everything during the process. The latch is securely holding it, which was my first confirmation. It’s hard to believe this happened.

No, not all tracks at the GPU insertion point are suitable.

Confirmed no harm to the GPU connector or socket. The connection feels solid, pins are secure and undisturbed.
