Hi everyone, recently I noticed Windows wasn't updating properly. It seems the Component Store is damaged. Despite using DISM commands, nothing seems to work. I ran chkdsk /r /f but the issue persisted. I also tried sfc /scannow, though it didn't start. I'm stuck and can't reinstall Windows. What should I do next?

It can't be reinstalled because Windows 10 includes a built-in feature to reset or reinstall the operating system.

It might store my files, but with all the programs and settings in place, reconfiguring would be incredibly time-consuming. It’s really frustrating.

The issue lies beyond the data itself; it's about the more than 100 programs, services, etc., that would need to be configured and installed anew. It consumes an excessive amount of time.

If you haven't done it, there could be file corruption affecting everything. I've noticed many systems losing data because of unstable OS or hardware issues. It's better to fix things yourself now instead of having the bootloader missing and everything disappearing unexpectedly.
