Hi Community,
I'm asking about upgrading my system. I currently have a 32 GB DDR4 2400 MHz RAM. I'm considering adding another 32 GB of 32 GB DDR4 2400 MHz modules. If I purchase a new set with higher speeds like 3000 MHz, can I overclock the existing 2400 MHz module to match that speed and then install 64 GB of 3000 MHz RAM? Thanks for your help.

It depends on the ICs in the older 2400Mhz kit, they may not reach that speed. Regarding upgrades, mixing and matching RAM kits and frequencies is not recommended—stick with a higher spec kit or opt for a larger capacity (like 64GB) instead.
Could you share your full system specifications? Please include links to the RAM kits I mentioned earlier.
